Find Jefferson County Court Dates

Need a Jefferson County court date? Start with the court named on your notice. The Jefferson County court calendar is split: Superior Court posts motion calendars, while District Court and Port Townsend municipal cases sit on a separate schedule with a statewide date tool. Once you spot a hearing, compare it against the case record. Dates can move. A public calendar can also leave out a protected matter. When the time or appearance method is unclear, confirm directly with the clerk before you rely on any listing.

The Jefferson County Court Calendar

Jefferson County maintains separate schedules for its two trial courts. The Superior Court Motion Calendars carry weekly dockets for felony, civil, domestic, probate, guardianship, juvenile, protection, and specialty matters. They are normally posted about four business days before the session. The Clerk may update them as needed. A special set, confidential hearing, or late change may not appear on a regular weekly sheet.

The District Court calendar publishes weekday links and recurring sessions for infractions, arraignments, criminal motions, trials, civil matters, small claims, name changes, protection cases, probation reviews, and Port Townsend municipal work. A calendar is a schedule. The docket is the dated procedural history. Neither item alone is the full file.

Timing also varies by system. Washington Case Search is generally refreshed about a day after clerk entry. Find My Court Date queries live transactional data for lower courts. The Superior weekly docket is posted on its own local cycle. A filing processed by the Clerk, an indexed case activity, and a scheduled hearing therefore can appear at different times. There is no universal same-day posting promise for Jefferson County.

Jefferson Superior Calendar Lanes

The recurring Superior Court schedule helps readers choose the right weekly docket. It does not promise that a named matter will be called. Jefferson County lists juvenile offenders on Tuesday, civil protection and confidential matters on Wednesday, Drug Court and dependency work on Thursday, and adult criminal and civil lanes on Friday. Weekday preliminary calendars also operate for in-custody adults and juvenile offenders.

Settlement sessions are generally placed on Wednesday or Friday. Local rules say parties should contact the Court Administrator if a specific judicial officer is required. Failure to confirm can keep a matter from being heard.

The page separates ordinary calendar posting from confirmation. A special set or a changed Jefferson County hearing should be checked with the Clerk.

How to Find Your Court Date

Use the case notice first, then select the channel that matches the court. District and Port Townsend dates have a real-time statewide option. Superior settings use the county calendar and Clerk. The full Jefferson County chain includes online search, posted daily or weekly calendars, phone, the courthouse counter, counsel, and the notice or order.

  1. Read the notice and identify Superior Court or Jefferson County District Court.
  2. For District or municipal matters, open Find My Court Date, choose JEFFERSON DISTRICT COURT, and enter the required names.
  3. For Superior matters, choose the proper weekly motion calendar. Use Washington Case Search for general case activity.
  4. Compare court, date, time, hearing type, and remote or courtroom instructions with the filed notice.
  5. If anything differs, call District Court at 360-385-9135 or the Superior Court Clerk at 360-385-9125. Check with counsel when represented.

Jefferson District Daily Calendar

The District Court calendar shows weekday links. Monday commonly includes infractions, in-custody cases, arraignments, and criminal motions. Tuesday includes trials, behavioral-health matters, and civil work. Wednesday carries criminal proceedings, interpreter sessions, probation reviews, and warrant-quash work. Thursday includes in-custody matters and small-claims mediation. Friday supports more in-custody or overflow work as posted.

The official Jefferson County calendar shows those links and public instructions.

The view reinforces one key limit. Omission from a posted calendar does not release anyone from appearing. Call if an expected name is absent.

Port Townsend does not operate a separate city calendar portal in the sources reviewed. Its municipal cases follow the Jefferson District route because the county court performs the city function by contract. Select JEFFERSON DISTRICT COURT in the state tool, even when the underlying matter concerns a Port Townsend ordinance.

Reading a Court Setting

A setting is a scheduled event, not always a trial. Read every field together. A matching date with the wrong court or hearing type can send a person to the wrong session. A recurring Zoom room also does not prove that remote appearance is allowed in a specific case.

DateThe day set by the court; check for a later order.
TimeThe start of the session or case-specific appearance.
CourtroomThe physical room or approved remote room.
JudgeThe assigned judicial officer, which can change.
Setting TypeArraignment, motion, trial, review, mediation, or another event.

Jefferson Real-Time Date Fields

Washington Courts says Find My Court Date queries the same real-time transactional database used by court staff for District and municipal cases. The blank form requires a court, first name, and last name. It may return a case summary, calendar data, and case activities. Peak daytime use can be slow, and the state still requires official-record verification.

The official date form displays the Jefferson court choice and name fields.

Jefferson County court date search fields

This is the strongest online route for a current District or Port Townsend municipal appearance. It does not cover Superior Court calendars.

If a name search is blank, check spelling and confirm that the matter truly belongs in District Court. Try the exact case number in the general state index when it is known. A current Superior Court matter must be checked through the local motion calendar and Clerk instead. These steps matter because the real-time tool, the daily state index, and the locally posted weekly docket serve different parts of Jefferson County's court system.

Resets, Continuances, and Cancellations

A continuance moves an event to a later date. A reset is the new setting or the act of rescheduling it. Cancellation means the listed event will not proceed as first shown, but it does not mean the case was dismissed. A docket may show a new entry while a weekly calendar simply changes.

Jefferson District Court launched Enterprise Justice on June 1, 2026. Its migration notice warned that calendars could be reduced and cases reset during support. Continuance requests should be made by phone, not email. A request is not approved until the court acts.

Check the newest docket entry and any later notice before relying on an older screen. A financial-system delay, including delayed bail processing or a refund, is not proof that the court changed the case result. Those questions should be separated from the calendar check and taken directly to District Court staff.

Jefferson Remote Calendar Access

District Court publishes recurring Zoom links and a dial-in number for several calendar groups. Case-specific instructions control. Confirm that remote appearance is allowed and that the weekly link remains valid after any reset.

The courtroom is open to the public, but recording or broadcasting without approval is prohibited. Media or education questions use the administrator line at 360-385-9134. Routine date questions go to 360-385-9135. Confidential matters may not appear on a public schedule.

Calendar and docket differ.

The calendar lists scheduled work. Case activities show procedural entries. A filed order or direct court confirmation controls when they conflict.

Jefferson Infraction Calendar Fields

A mitigation form is not a general calendar tool, yet it shows why the exact hearing date matters. Jefferson County asks for a hearing date and ticket number with the written statement. The statement must arrive seven days before the hearing, so a stale setting can affect submission.

The blank county mitigation form displays those calendar-linked fields. Confirm the hearing before relying on that deadline because the form does not replace the court calendar.

What to Do If You Miss a Setting

Contact the court at once. Give staff the court name, cause or citation number, full name, and missed date. Ask what the docket now shows and whether an order, warrant, default, dismissal, or new date has been entered. If represented, contact counsel too. Do not appear on a guessed date.

Missed a Setting? A missed date can lead to a warrant, default, dismissal, or other court action.

Contact the filing court or counsel immediately and follow the court's current directions.

District and Port Townsend questions go to 360-385-9135. Superior questions go to the Clerk at 360-385-9125. The Jefferson County case search may show a later entry, but direct instructions control.
